capital punishment for culprits, demands capital punishment for culprits

JAMMU, JUL 21: Taranjit Singh Tony, Chairman of AAP Jammu and Kashmir for Administrative Engagement and Minority Affairs and DDC Member of Suchetgarh, today strongly condemned the horrifying incident of two women being paraded naked in violence-hit Manipur. Expressing profound shock and distress, Tony called for an impartial judicial investigation into the incident and urged for swift justice to be served, including capital punishment for the culprits involved.

In a statement issued today, Taranjit Singh Tony asserted, “The brutal and deplorable act in Manipur has shaken us to our core. We demand a comprehensive and unbiased judicial inquiry into this heinous crime to ensure that justice is meted out swiftly. The perpetrators of such a heinous act must face the harshest punishment, leaving no room for mercy.”

Tony also criticized the hollow slogans of BJP’s Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign, stating that the incident in Manipur exposed the BJP’s failure to provide a safe and secure atmosphere for women in the country. He called for accountability and urgent measures to safeguard the dignity and safety of women across the nation.

“The BJP’s claims of protecting our daughters ring empty when such tragic incidents occur,” remarked Tony. “It is a wake-up call for the government at the Centre to take concrete actions to ensure the safety and security of women, making our society truly inclusive and safe for all.”

He further emphasized the urgent need for a collective effort from all sections of society to denounce such acts of violence and stand united in demanding justice for the victims.
