J&K Government Mandates Employee Participation in Independence Day Celebrations
31-07-2023 : The Jammu and Kashmir Government has issued an order directing all its employees to actively participate in the Independence Day celebrations on August 15. The government emphasizes that Independence Day is a significant national event, marking a crucial turning point in the history of our nation, and all government employees are duty-bound to take part in commemorating this occasion.
The official government order specifically mandates that all officers and officials stationed at Srinagar and Jammu in the Union territory must attend the main Independence Day function at the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Stadium in Sonawar, Srinagar, or the Maulana Azad Stadium in Jammu, respectively. Their presence is considered part of their official duty, and any absence from the event is only permissible with prior permission from their immediate superior.
The order further instructs all Administrative Secretaries, Heads of the Departments, and Managing Directors/Chief Executives of the Public Sector Undertakings to ensure compliance with this directive. They are advised to ensure that all officers and officials under their administrative control, stationed in Srinagar and Jammu, participate in the Independence Day celebration at the designated locations.
By urging all government employees to actively engage in the Independence Day function, the J&K Government aims to uphold the significance of this national event and demonstrate their commitment to the nation’s history and progress.
