Hindustan ShivSena Threatens Protest Against Smart Meters and PDD in J&K

Aug.2, Jammu :- Hindustan ShivSena J&K Unit under the leadership of UT President Vikrant Kapoor addressed the Print & electronic media and highlighted the shortcomings of Smart Meters being installed by the PDD. Mr. Kapoor said that Smart Meters are producing seemingly high bills as compared to the earlier meters and this is being complained by every common user. Amount of the electric bills have swollen many folds to the consumers and hence it’s being hard for the general public as a whole to pay such high bills. Mr. Kapoor stated that a large number of people are complaining that the amount of their electric bills have increased to a considerable figure but the consumption is the same as earlier.
UT President reminded that it was promised by the PDD while installing Smart Meters that there will be no such increase in the amount of the bills but now the billing amounts have increased.  Mr. Vikrant Kapoor said that our party workers and leaders were on the roads against these bills on the 16th of July as well but till now, LG Government has not taken any step to roll back these Smart Meters and hence decrease the burden of the general public. General public is not able enough to pay these swollen bills.
On behalf of the general public of UT of Jammu & Kashmir, Mr. Kapoor urged the Government to take necessary steps so as to provide relief to the public from such high bills and at the same time he threatened the LG Government that if these bills are not rolled back, Hindustan ShivSena will have to launch a massive protest against these Smart Meters and PDD. Present on the occassion included UT Vice President Rakesh Bhardwaj, General Sec. Sunil, City president Apurav Gupta, City Vice President Rohan Malwal and others.
