Peoples Conference’s Pledge for the People of J&K, Striving Politically and Legally to Restore Lost Rights

06-08-2023 : Peoples Conference (PC) has vowed to make determined political and legal efforts towards restoring the rights that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have lost. Speaking at a convention in Khansahib, Budgam district, PC President Sajad Gani Lone reaffirmed the party’s commitment to upholding the dignity and rights of the people of the region.

Sajad asserted that PC stands as the sole party capable of preserving democratic principles and creating an environment where the voices of the people are not only heard but also respected and valued. The party’s 45-year legacy of struggle and sacrifice underpins its unwavering dedication to safeguarding the interests of Jammu and Kashmir.

He emphasized the party’s vision to nurture a future where democracy flourishes, political institutions are fortified, and the people thrive in a prosperous and harmonious society. Sajad advocated for a governance model that empowers the people to actively contribute to J&K’s progress instead of being passive spectators.

The PC President expressed concern over the denial of democracy and the increasing dominance of bureaucracy in decision-making processes. In a true democracy, it is the political class that shoulders the responsibility to represent the people’s mandate, face public accountability, and make crucial decisions that shape the destiny of the populace.
