Security Forces in Jammu and Kashmir Apprehend Four Suspects in Budgam District, Seize Pistols and Warlike Stores

26-09-2023 : In Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam district, security forces carried out a successful operation during the intervening nights of Monday and Tuesday, resulting in the arrest of four suspects, according to a statement by the Army.

The operation yielded significant results as three pistols and various other warlike materials were confiscated from the apprehended individuals. The joint operation was conducted by a collaborative team comprising the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and intelligence agencies, all working in coordination.

The operation unfolded in the Beerwah area of Budgam, and the Army’s Srinagar-based Chinar Corps provided details of the operation through a post on social media. The Chinar Corps announced, “In a Joint Operation launched by #IndianArmy, @JmuKmrPolice & Int agencies on the intervening night of September 25–26 in Beerwah, #Budgam, four suspected individuals have been apprehended. 03xPistols & other war-like stores recovered. Investigation is in progress.”

As of now, the identities of the four apprehended individuals have not been disclosed, and the investigation into the matter is ongoing. The successful operation marks a significant development in maintaining security and peace in the Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir.
