Priyanka Gandhi Vadra Unveils Bold Education Plan for Madhya Pradesh Students
Unemployment-Linked Exodus and Land Issues: Priyanka Gandhi Addresses Critical Concerns in MP
12-10-2023: In a significant electoral promise ahead of the upcoming elections in Madhya Pradesh, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Congress General Secretary, unveiled a major educational initiative during a Jan Aakrosh Rally in a tribal-dominated district of the state. She announced the “Padho aur Padhao Yojana,” which aims to provide monthly financial support to school students once the Congress assumes power in the state.
Under this initiative, every student from the first to eighth standard will receive Rs 500 per month, while students in classes IX and X will receive Rs 1,000 monthly. Higher-secondary level students will benefit from a monthly allowance of Rs 1,500. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also strongly criticized the Professional Examination Board (PEB) inconsistencies, referring to it as one of the most significant scams in the state’s history. She highlighted the lack of clarity surrounding the number of lives lost in the cover-up of this scandal and the absence of a proper investigation.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra went on to criticize the ruling BJP’s track record in Madhya Pradesh, alleging that over 250 months in power, they were associated with 250 scams and 22,000 empty promises. She pointed out the prolonged and incomplete construction of the Mandla-Jabalpur road, emphasizing that even Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Jairam Gadkari had apologized for the delays.
Furthermore, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra expressed concerns about an increasing trend of unemployment-driven migration from Madhya Pradesh, where land has been taken from farmers, and their concerns have been neglected. She also addressed issues of protests being suppressed and atrocities against women. She emphasized that, during election seasons, attention is often diverted to religious and emotional topics, accusing BJP leaders of misleading the public.
