GDC Dudu Basantgarh’s Vigilance Awareness Week: Pledge for a Corruption-Free India
Empowering Students to Combat Corruption: GDC Dudu Basantgarh's Essay Competition
07-11-2023 : GDC Dudu Basantgarh embarked on a series of events to commemorate Vigilance Awareness Week. The Department of Political Science took the lead in organizing an awareness program centered around the theme “Corruption Free India,” with the noble aim of contributing to the nation’s development by combating corruption. During this initiative, a solemn pledge was taken by the college’s Principal, staff, and students to work collectively towards a corruption-free India.
Addressing the gathered participants, Principal Prof. Anirudh Sharma shed light on the detrimental impact of corruption and its hindrance to the nation’s progress. He urged the students to channel their efforts into excelling in all aspects of life, emphasizing their potential to play a pivotal role in elevating the nation to greater heights.
As part of the event, an essay writing competition on the theme “Corruption Free India” was organized, attracting a substantial number of enthusiastic students. The competition showcased the participants’ commitment to addressing this critical issue. Notably, the first, second, and third prizes were claimed by Anju Devi (1st semester), Arti Devi (5th semester), and Meenakshi Devi (1st semester), respectively. In a spirit of inclusivity, consolation prizes were also distributed to all students who participated.
The event was graced by the presence of distinguished faculty members, including Prof. Rahul Sharma, Prof. Pradeep Kumar, Prof. Vijay, and AA teachers, who added their insights and support to the cause. Prof. Pradeep Kumar offered the final vote of thanks, concluding the event on an encouraging note. This series of events not only marked a commitment to the eradication of corruption but also demonstrated the dedication of GDC Dudu Basantgarh to instill values of integrity and vigilance among its students.
