Newly constituted body will play a crucial role in promoting Party’s vision, policies: Sunil Verma

Women Wing of JKNC SC Cell Udhampur constituted

UDHAMPUR, December 17: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) today took a significant step towards inclusivity and social justice with the constitution of the SC Cell Women Wing in Udhampur district.

The Women Wing of JKNC’s SC Cell was formed in the presence of prominent party leaders Sunil Verma, District President JKNC Udhampur, Capt Pavittar Singh, Ch Abdul Rashid, Amarnath District President JKNC SC Cell Udhampur, Sudesh Kumar District Secretary YNC Udhampur and Gulzar Ahmed Tek, marking a commitment to empowering the Scheduled Caste community and ensuring their meaningful participation in the district’s political and social spheres.

The newly constituted wing comprises a dedicated team of women leaders which include Savittry Devi, District President; Radhey Rani and Pooja Devi, Vice Presidents; Anita Devi and Kamlesh Devi, District Secretaries; Nisha Devi and Simran Lahotra, Additional Secretaries; Rita Devi, Block Secretary, Maya Devi, Block President Udhampur, Leela Devi, Block President Jaganoo and Rajkumari, Sunita Devi, Veena Devi, and Thakri Devi as Members

Speaking at the event, Sunil Verma, District President of JKNC Udhampur, lauded the formation of the women’s wing and urged the newly appointed members to work diligently for the party. He expressed his confidence in their ability to strengthen the hands of party leaders Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah.

“The establishment of the SC Cell Women Wing reflects JKNC’s unwavering commitment to inclusivity and social justice,” he stated. “This dedicated team is expected to play a crucial role in promoting the party’s vision and policies within the district, particularly as it pertains to empowering the SC community and ensuring their voices are heard.”

Sunil Verma further emphasized the importance of ensuring meaningful participation of all communities in the political and social landscape of Udhampur. He expressed his hope that the women’s wing will serve as a catalyst for positive change and bridge the gap between the party and the SC community.
