Ensuing Panchayat, ULB Polls key to strengthening grassroots democracy in J&K: Kavinder 

Jammu,12-11-2024: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta, expressed the party’s commitment to reinforcing grassroots democracy as Jammu and Kashmir gears up for the upcoming Panchayat and ULB polls.

Addressing a meeting of party workers and local representatives, Kavinder Gupta emphasized the importance of Panchayats in empowering local communities and driving development at the grassroots level.

Highlighting the BJP’s dedication to addressing people’s issues and promoting a transparent and accountable governance structure, he stated, “Panchayats play a vital role in addressing the day-to-day concerns of the people and ensuring that government schemes reach the last mile. Through these elections, we aim to bring capable representatives to the forefront who can serve with integrity and dedication.”

Kavinder further underscored the BJP’s long-standing commitment to democratic principles, stressing that the Panchayat and ULB polls provide an opportunity for citizens to actively participate in shaping the development of their respective areas. He urged voters to exercise their democratic right and support candidates who prioritize public welfare over personal gain.

“The upcoming polls are not just an election but a pathway to strengthen the democratic fabric of Jammu and Kashmir. Our party is fully prepared to support and guide the elected panchayat members in fulfilling their responsibilities to the people,” he said.
