A small fire breaks out close to the Vaishno Devi shrine

03-02-2023 : On Friday, a small fire was detected in a makeshift shed about a kilometre from the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine atop Trikuta Hills in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district, according to officials.
Security personnel put out the fire, and the event had no effect on the pilgrimage, which was proceeding normally, they claimed.

Around 1.30 pm, some workers were lodging at the temporary shed close to the horse stand before travelling to Bharav Ghati, when some of their possessions caught fire. They claimed that the fire was quickly put out by personnel from the shrine board, police, CRPF, and fire and emergency services.
