AAP only ray of hope for underprivileged, farmers, unemployed: Tony, Namrta

JAMMU, January 20: Taranjit Singh Tony, Chairman Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Jammu and Kashmir for Administrative Engagement and Minority Affairs, and District Development Council (DDC) Member Suchetgarh vowed world class amenities to people of J&K.

Addressing a meeting here at ward no 74 in Sainik Colony, Tony said that AAP’s Delhi Model is testimony to the fact that what he is promising is true to hilt as already the party had proved its worth under the leadership of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal with people showing unrelenting support election after election.

He said that under the shadow of parties which brazenly speak lies and blatantly admit that what they have promised was a political Jumla, there is only one party which can provide rock solid support to the marginalized sections of the society in J&K be it farmers, jobless youths or underprivileged. He said that AAP’s performance in Punjab is also stupendous with CM Bhagwant Mann bringing about much needed change to make the state a better place to live.  He said that AAP is standing shoulder to shoulder with protesting Rehbar e Khel teachers, reserved category employees and daily wagers, and will support them until justice is delivered.

A meeting was organized in the residence of Darshan Singh, a hardworking BJP leader. During the meeting, Darshan Singh alongwith Aslam Choudhary and scores of supporters joined AAP.

Former Corporator Namrta Sharma, Provincial President Women Wing AAP Jammu was also present in the joining function. Mandeep Chouhdary, AAP youth leader has arranged the joining programme. Jagjeet Singh Slathia, Block President Kunjwani Chowadi Block, Ramesh Panotra (SP Retd), Shubham Sangral, and others were also present.

Namrta Sharma said that every section of society is on roads seeking justice but the incumbent BJP dispensation and its proxy rule in J&K has failed miserably to satiate the aspirations of the people.  She said that the government is unable to provide justice to even men of the society leave aside the scope for women. She said AAP is the only hope in J&K and therefore deserves support of all sections including the women of the society.

Tony earlier welcomed the new entrants to the party fold and urged them to strengthen the party at grassroots level and expose the misdeeds of BJP and its ilk in J&K to educate people about what is right and what is not for Jammu and Kashmir.
