Adabi Kunj Hosts Special Constitution Day Literary Meet in Jammu
Literary Giants Reflect on India’s Progress and Constitutional Values
JAMMU, NOVEMBER 30: A special weekly literary session was organized by Adabi Kunj J&K, a prominent literary and cultural organisation known for its decades-long contribution to the region’s creative landscape, to mark the occasion of Indian Constitution Day. The session was held in the meeting hall of the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages and witnessed vibrant participation from writers and poets of multiple languages.
Presided over by Aarsh Dalmotra, President of Adabi Kunj, the special meet highlighted the modern developmental journey of India during the democratic era and the enduring significance of the Constitution of independent India. Retired Deputy Commissioner and noted literary figure of Jammu, B. S. Jamwal, graced the event as the Special Guest. The programme was conducted by M. S. Kamra, General Secretary of Adabi Kunj.
During the session, poets impressed the audience with their engaging and thought-provoking compositions, weaving themes of India’s constitutional values, social progress, democratic resilience, and cultural harmony. Their poetic expressions reflected both artistic depth and patriotic sentiment, captivating the gathering with powerful imagery and creative finesse.
The poets who presented their works included: Ghulam Sarwar Chauhan Habib, Santosh Shah Nadan, M. S. Kamra, Sathi K. R. Salgotra, B. S. Jamwal, Raj Kamal, Shams Rajan, Jetinder Jally, Ramkrishna Abid, Bishan Das Khak, Uttam Singh Rahi, Rohini Gandharb Charak, Ashok Dogra Ashk, Brij Mohan, Iqbal Khullar, Nirmal Verma, R. R. Malhotra and Aarsh Dalmotra.
The session concluded with a formal vote of thanks extended by Sarwar Chauhan Habib, Vice Chairman of the organisation, who appreciated the participation of writers and attendees and reaffirmed Adabi Kunj’s commitment to nurturing Jammu and Kashmir’s vibrant literary traditions.
