Adityanath Says ‘Political Islam’ Undermined Hindu Faith, Often Ignored in History
UP CM lauds RSS role in Ram Temple construction, links historical struggles against political Islam to modern social reforms
Gorakhpur (UP), Oct 22: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday stated that while history often highlights British and French colonialism, the impact of “political Islam” on Sanatan Dharma has been largely ignored. Speaking at the ‘Vichar Parivar Kutumb Sneh Milan’ and ‘Deepotsav Se Rashtrotsav’ events marking the RSS centenary, he emphasized that great warriors such as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Guru Gobind Singh, Maharana Pratap, and Maharana Sanga fought valiantly against political Islam.
“Our ancestors waged major struggles against political Islam, yet this aspect of history remains overlooked,” Adityanath said, praising the RSS for its pivotal role in the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. He argued that discussions around colonial resistance often ignore this ideological challenge, calling political Islam a continuing threat under various guises.
Highlighting government action, Adityanath noted that Uttar Pradesh has banned the sale of Halal certified products, claiming that profits from such sales were being used to fund conversions, love jihad, and terrorism.
He also outlined five key transformations promoted by the RSS centenary initiatives: social harmony, family values, environmental protection, self reliance through indigenous goods, and civic responsibility, calling them foundational for a ‘Viksit Bharat’. “For a developed society and a developed nation, society must lead, and the government must follow,” the CM added.
Adityanath’s remarks underscored both historical struggles against political Islam and the contemporary socio cultural reforms championed by the RSS and the state government.
