Akshay Kumar’s ‘Samuk’ to Begin Filming in London on August 23

The upcoming alien survival thriller will reportedly shoot extensively across the UK, with most of its filming planned in Britain.

MUMBAI, Aug 12: Akshay Kumar is set to begin filming his upcoming alien survival thriller Samuk in London from August 23, with a major portion of the production scheduled to take place across the United Kingdom.

The project, produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, is expected to have around 90 per cent of its filming completed in the UK. The makers are preparing for an extensive overseas schedule as the film moves into its production phase.

Samuk is being positioned as a survival thriller with an alien related storyline, marking another genre shift for Akshay Kumar. The actor has continued to explore varied subjects while maintaining a busy lineup of theatrical projects.

The film has also attracted international technical talent, with visual effects specialist Alec Gillis joining the project. Gillis is known for his work on several major Hollywood productions involving creature and special effects design.

The London schedule is expected to play an important role in establishing the film’s visual world. Further details about the storyline and additional cast members are likely to be revealed as production progresses.
