All J&K Ravidass Sabha to organize Medical Camp on March 29
To celebrate 135th Birth Anniversary of B. R. Ambedkar on April 14
JAMMU, Mar 27: A press conference was convened today by Er RC Bhasin, President of All Jammu and Kashmir Ravidass Sabha, at its headquarters in Krishna Nagar. The event was attended by members of the executive body and working committee, where several important social and community initiatives were announced.
Addressing the media, Er. R.C. Bhasin informed that the Sabha will organize a free medical camp on March 29, 2026 (Sunday) at 11:00 AM in the Gurudwara complex. The camp is being organized in collaboration with Diva International Health and Medical Education, with support from Davinder Kour Charitable Trust.
A team of experienced doctors from various medical fields including orthopedics, pediatrics, ophthalmology (eye), gynecology, dental care, general medicine, TB specialists, cancer specialists, and physiotherapists will be available to provide free consultations. Medical tests and medicines will also be distributed free of cost. The general public has been urged to take full advantage of this healthcare initiative.
Further details were shared by spokesperson Prof. C.L. Shivgotra, who stated that the Sabha will also conduct its monthly Satsang on the same day (March 29) from 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon under the aegis of Dera Jagat Giri Ji, Pathankot. The Satsang aims to promote spiritual awareness and community bonding.
Highlighting upcoming events, Prof. Shivgotra announced that the Sabha will celebrate the 135th birth anniversary of B. R. Ambedkar on April 14, 2026, at the Gurudwara complex. The programme will include a cake-cutting ceremony and a film screening based on the life and mission of Dr. Ambedkar. The event is scheduled from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
In addition, a state-level main programme will be organized on May 3, 2026 (Sunday), where distinguished speakers will shed light on the life, contributions, and vision of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, regarded as the Father of the Indian Constitution. The Sabha plans to undertake wide publicity to ensure participation from SC, ST, OBC, and minority communities. Efforts will also be made to inform all branch heads of Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabhas across Jammu and Kashmir for their active involvement.
The press conference was attended by several prominent members including Surjit Singh Heer, Er. Joginder Paul, Tarsem Loach (General Secretary), Des Raj Sangral, Rangesh Hans, Kuldip Thapa, Er. M.L. Basson, Darshan Kumar Gorka, ZEO Tara Chand, Bodh Raj Kalsi, and other members of the executive and working committee.
The Sabha reiterated its commitment to social welfare, healthcare awareness, and the promotion of equality and constitutional values through such initiatives.
