Allu Arjun–Atlee’s ‘Raaka’ Targets Record ₹1,000 Crore Budget, Shah Rukh Khan Cameo Reportedly Planned
The ambitious sci-fi spectacle is expected to feature global VFX, a two-world storyline and a special appearance by Shah Rukh Khan.
Mumbai, July 30 : One of Indian cinema’s most ambitious projects is making headlines after reports claimed that Allu Arjun and director Atlee’s upcoming sci-fi entertainer Raaka is being mounted on a massive budget of nearly ₹1,000 crore. If confirmed, the film would rank among the costliest productions ever undertaken in the country.
According to industry reports, Raaka is envisioned as a visual spectacle with a story spanning two parallel worlds. The makers are said to be collaborating with international visual effects studios to deliver world-class cinematic technology and large scale action sequences that can appeal to global audiences.
Adding to the excitement, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is reportedly set to make a special cameo in the film. Sources suggest the sequence will be filmed overseas, although work on the cameo has not yet begun and the production team has not made an official announcement.
The collaboration between Allu Arjun and Atlee has already generated significant anticipation, bringing together one of Telugu cinema’s biggest stars with the filmmaker behind several blockbuster commercial entertainers. Fans expect the project to combine high end visual storytelling with large-scale action and emotional drama.
The reported investment reflects the growing confidence of Indian filmmakers in creating globally competitive productions. Big-budget films are increasingly relying on advanced CGI, international production partnerships and multilingual releases to reach audiences beyond domestic markets.
While the makers have remained tight lipped about several details, Raaka has already emerged as one of the most talked about upcoming films in the entertainment industry. More announcements regarding the cast, production schedule and release timeline are expected in the coming months.
