Amit Shah Hails NDA’s Bypoll Victory, Says Results Reflect Public Confidence in Modi’s Leadership

The Union Home Minister credits the BJP led alliance’s electoral performance in West Bengal, Assam and Puducherry, along with municipal poll results in Rajasthan and Tripura, to public support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

NEW DELHI, Oct 9: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday said the National Democratic Alliance’s victories in recent by-elections and municipal polls reflected public confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

In a post on X, Shah highlighted the NDA’s performance in by-elections in West Bengal, Assam and Puducherry, as well as municipal elections in Rajasthan and Tripura. He said the results demonstrated continued support for the BJP-led alliance.

Targeting Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and the opposition INDI Alliance, Shah alleged that their political campaigns were based on misinformation and confusion. He maintained that the BJP had continued to secure electoral victories under Modi’s leadership.

Shah claimed that the latest results indicated a rejection of the opposition alliance by voters. He further alleged that opposition parties frequently questioned democratic institutions following electoral defeats after losing public support.

According to the Home Minister, the BJP’s performance reflected voters’ confidence in the party and its leadership. He described the outcome as a strong mandate for the NDA.

Shah also congratulated the chief ministers of West Bengal, Assam, Rajasthan and Tripura, along with the leadership in Puducherry and party functionaries associated with the respective states, on the alliance’s electoral performance.

His remarks came amid continuing political exchanges between the BJP and opposition parties over electoral outcomes and public support. The results are expected to feature prominently in the parties’ political messaging as they assess their performance across different regions.
