Amit Shah Hails Remarkable Drop in Jammu and Kashmir Terror Incidents Under Modi Government’s Regime

09-08-2023 : Union Home Minister Amit Shah, during his participation in the no-confidence motion debate in the Lok Sabha, underlined the remarkable reduction of 68 percent in terror-related incidents in Jammu and Kashmir. He attributed this achievement to the effective strategies and actions taken by the Modi government.

Shah emphasized that the transformation in the Kashmir scenario has been notably witnessed since 2014, attributing the change to the government’s policies aimed at eradicating terrorism. He expressed the government’s resolute commitment to render Kashmir terrorism-free.

However, Shah categorically dismissed the possibility of engaging in dialogues with separatist organizations in the Kashmir valley. He asserted that discussions would only be held with the youth residing in the region, and not with entities like Hurriyat, Jamiat, or Pakistan.

Addressing the contentious issue of Article 370, Shah laid blame on former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru for the policy’s flawed implementation. He underscored Prime Minister Modi’s momentous decision to fully integrate Jammu and Kashmir into India, a move that has marked a pivotal shift in the region’s dynamics.

Shah further elucidated that the days of terrorists’ processions in Kashmir are now obsolete due to the government’s determined efforts. He highlighted that terrorists are now neutralized at the location itself, resulting in the end of such parades.
