“Amit Shah in Jammu on Key Three-Day Tour”

Home Minister to inspect border areas, chair high level meetings, and oversee development initiatives during packed schedule.

JAMMU, Feb 6: Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Jammu on Thursday night for a three day Jammu visit focused on assessing the security landscape and advancing development efforts across the Union Territory, officials said.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha received Shah at Jammu Airport and welcomed him in a post on X, marking the start of the minister’s official engagements.

On Friday, Shah is scheduled to tour border outposts along the International Border in Kathua district. During the visit, he will virtually inaugurate and lay the foundation for six welfare initiatives aimed at supporting border guards.

Following the inspection, the Home Minister will return to Jammu to chair a high-level security review meeting at Lok Bhavan. He is also set to hand over compassionate appointment letters to family members of victims affected by terrorism, officials added.

The next day, Shah will preside over a meeting dedicated to the development of Jammu and Kashmir at Lok Bhavan before concluding his visit and heading back to New Delhi.
