Shah Says India Firm on Eradicating Terrorism, Pays Tribute to CRPF Martyrs
New Delhi, Feb 14: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday paid homage to the 40 CRPF personnel who lost their lives in the 2019 Pulwama terror attack, asserting that India remains resolute in its fight against terrorism.
In a post on X marking the Pulwama terror attack anniversary, Shah said the nation would always remain indebted to the bravery, commitment and sacrifice of the country’s security forces and agencies.
“Terrorism is the greatest enemy of humanity, and India is firmly determined to eradicate it completely,” he stated.
On February 14, 2019, a suicide bomber affiliated with Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into a convoy of the Central Reserve Police Force in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district, killing 40 personnel.
In response to the attack, the Indian Air Force carried out airstrikes on terror training facilities in Balakot, located deep inside Pakistan, days later.
