Bollywood stars celebrate ‘Thalaivar’ with heartfelt social media tributes on milestone day
Mumbai, Dec 13: Megastar Rajinikanth turned 75 today, receiving wishes from fans and fellow actors across the globe. Bollywood icons Anil Kapoor and Kajol joined the celebrations, sharing heartfelt tributes on their social media accounts.
Anil Kapoor posted a warm message alongside a photo of the superstar, writing: “75 years. Half a decade of absolute cinematic domination. One name, one phenomenon, @rajinikanth. Happy 75th to the eternal Thalaivar.”
Kajol also shared a stylish photo of Rajinikanth, captioning it: “Forever a legend! Many happy returns of the day, @rajinikanth sir.”
Anil Kapoor has previously worked with Rajinikanth in the 2000 action drama Bulandi, directed by Rama Rao Tatineni, which featured an ensemble cast including Raveena Tandon and Rekha. The film explored themes of honour, justice, and family loyalty, with Kapoor playing a double role and Rajinikanth appearing in a special extended role.
While Kajol has not directly shared screen space with Rajinikanth, she acted alongside his former son in law, Dhanush, in the 2015 film VIP 2, where she portrayed an ambitious businesswoman.
Regarded as one of the top megastars of South Indian cinema, Rajinikanth’s work in Bollywood includes collaborations with leading actors such as Amitabh Bachchan, cementing his pan Indian superstar status.
