Annual Sabour Mela Concludes with Enthusiastic Participation from Public at Ladha Dhar in Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, JUNE 26: The 2-day Annual Sabour Mela, which commenced on June 24 at Ladha Dhar of Tehsil Udhampur culminated with the overwhelming participation of the general public and visitors who thronged the mela site from different areas of the District Udhampur.

On a concluding day, DDC Councillor, Narsoo, was the chief guest while Naib Tehsildar, Balwant Singh was the guest of honour.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest said that such festivals not only fulfill religious aspirations and get spiritual bliss but also provide people hailing from different areas to get a chance to interact together and share their experiences and joys. He said that these fairs are a symbol of ‘our diverse culture and attract tourists as well as help in the socio-economic development of the area. The two-day mela witnessed sports activities, Folk music and cultural performances by students of different schools of the area which were highly appreciated by the general public of the area.
