Mumbai, Mar 19 : Anushka Shetty is once again at the center of marriage speculation, with recent reports claiming she is set to wed a businessman. Her team has officially dismissed these rumors through a detailed statement shared on Instagram on March 17.

Addressing the media, the statement criticized unverified reporting, calling it an intrusion into the actress’ personal life. “Speculating, assuming, and repeatedly publishing unverified information is not journalism  it’s intrusion,” it read. The note highlighted that persistent mentions of her age, 44, amount to subtle age shaming and pointed out the double standards in coverage of male versus female actors.

The team emphasized that Anushka Shetty has maintained a dignified and private career without relying on PR stunts, and that marriage is a personal matter that should not be sensationalized. “Continuously pushing rumors without accountability reflects poorly on the credibility of platforms sharing them. Respect boundaries. Verify before you publish. Treat actresses with the same fairness and dignity you often extend to male stars,” the statement added.

Anushka Shetty has addressed similar rumors in the past, including a 2020 report linking her to a cricketer. She dismissed the claims and stressed the sensitivity of such personal matters.
