AOI Gangyal urges Centre to existing MSME units
Association of Industries seeks immediate SGST reimbursement reforms and finalisation of New Industrial Policy
- Jammu MSME bodies warn of marginalisation, demand fiscal support and parity with neighbouring states
Jammu, 04-12-2025: A meeting of the Executive and Advisory Committee of the Association of Industries (Regd.) Gangyal was held at AOI Bhavan, Gangyal, under the chairmanship of its president, Sh. Virendra Jain and attended by the office bearers S/Sh. S.B. Abrol, Sr. Vice President/Sandeep Ohri, Vice President/Sanjay Langar, General Secretary/Ajay Kumar Mahajan, Secretary and Jatinder Singh, Treasurer, to specifically deliberate upon the key issues being faced by the industrial sector of Jammu. The members raised the issue regarding the upcoming meeting of the Apex Committee meeting tentatively scheduled for December. 2025 to be held under the Chairmanship of Hon’ble Home Minister Sh. Amit Shah Ji.
All the worthy members specially the senior members of AOI emphasized that being the largest organization of Micro/Small units of Jammu region AOI is duty bound to draw the attention of the Hon’ble Home Minister towards the current plight of local Micro/Small units and seek favourable resolution of the problems being faced by them.
AOI has urged the Govt. of India to ensure that all the Fiscal/Industrial incentives envisaged for new units are also extended uniformly to all existing units.
AOI also considers appropriate to expedite the process of anciliarisation with mandatory provision of minimum 50% reservation for local Micro/Small units in case of all the new units being set up under NCSS or otherwise. This step is solely aimed for creation of newer job opportunities within the existing Micro/Small units. AOI is firmly of the opinion unless local Micro/Small sector is not protected through anciliarisation and/or creation of vendor units it may not overcome the current state of marginalization being faced by them extensively.
Association of Industries also draws the kind attention of the J&K Govt. to expeditiously finalize New Industrial Policy for establishment and growth of industry in J&K. AOI has already made valuable suggestions to be included in New Industrial Policy to bring J&K at par with other neighboring states aimed at creation of substantive employment/job opportunities.
The members also raised the issue of non-availability of Fiscal Incentive to the industrial units who undergone for substantial expansion/change of line of activity/additional line of activity. AOI urges the Govt. to extend the reimbursement of SGST and turnover incentive to such units who undergone for substantial expansion/change of line of activity/additional line of activity.
AOI also urges the Govt. to issue amendment to SO 70,71,72 regarding reimbursement of SGST to the units which have filed their claims after the due date.
The prominent members who attended the meeting include S/Sh. R.P. Shastri, Balbir Kumar Gupta, Rajesh Jain and others Sh. B.B. Talwar, Sh. Deepak Dhawan and Sh. Pardeep Vaid etc.
