Security forces recover grenade, ammunition during probe into 2015 UAPA case
Srinagar, Dec 16: Security forces recovered arms and ammunition from a graveyard area in Srinagar during a search operation linked to a long pending Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) case, officials said on Tuesday.
The searches were conducted as part of an investigation into a case registered in 2015 under Section 13 of the UAPA at Bemina police station.
During the operation, the joint team recovered one Chinese hand grenade, 10 live rounds of AK-47 ammunition, around 100 grams of gunpowder and 20 posters. The seized materials have been taken into custody for further investigation.
Officials said further probe is underway to ascertain the source of the recovered items and identify those involved.
