Assembly Proceedings : J&K Legislative Assembly constitutes three house committees

JAMMU, MARCH 27: The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly today passed motion for constituting three key House committees.

Earlier, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah moved motion for the election of eleven members each to the Committee on Public Accounts, the Committee on Estimates, and the Committee on Public Undertakings, in accordance with Rules 344, 346 and 349, respectively, of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly. The tenure of these committees will extend up to March 31, 2027.

The motions were subsequently put to vote by Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather and were passed by the House through a voice vote.
