Ayodhya Gears Up for Spectacular Deepotsav 2025 with Faith, Light, and Innovation
Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department Combines Tradition and Technology to Create Unforgettable Festival Experience
Ayodhya,Oct 15 : Ayodhya is preparing for one of the grandest celebrations of the year as Deepotsav 2025 approaches, promising a dazzling blend of devotion, culture, and cutting-edge technology. The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department is leaving no stone unturned to ensure the festival becomes an unforgettable experience for devotees and visitors from across India and abroad.
The celebrations aim to bring the divine essence of ‘Treta Yug’ to life, with the holy city glowing in faith, lights, and cultural splendor. Highlighting the innovative approach, a laser show will narrate the life and ideals of Lord Ram along the Saryu ghats, while a mesmerizing drone show will depict iconic scenes from the Ramayana, including Hanuman carrying the Sanjeevani mountain, Ram Setu, and the Ram Mandir, culminating in a symbolic tribute from ‘Treta Yug to New Ayodhya.’
UP Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh said, “This year’s Deepotsav is a confluence of faith and technology, where tradition meets innovation. For the first time, these shows will be open to the public for two consecutive days so every devotee can witness Ayodhya’s divine magnificence. Deepotsav 2025 will reflect devotion, heritage, and innovation.”
The festival will feature 3D projection mapping, eco-friendly fireworks, mass Maha Aarti, cultural Shobhayatras, and over 26 lakh diyas illuminating the 56 ghats of the Saryu, aiming to set a new world record. Safety, sustainability, and public participation remain central to the celebrations.
Special Secretary (Tourism) Eesha Priya highlighted the growing enthusiasm, especially among the younger generation, participating in poetry, painting, and short animation competitions. She also noted the overwhelming response to the UPSTDC one-day Deepotsav special tour packages, reflecting nationwide interest.
Coordinated with district administration and cultural institutions, the festivities will include Shobhayatras depicting the seven chapters of the Ramayana, folk performances, and thematic light installations across heritage sites.
Deepotsav 2025 promises to transform Ayodhya into a radiant celebration of faith, creativity, and devotion, connecting the city’s spiritual past with its vibrant present.
