Balbir Singh leads Massive protest  against Govt at Barnoti

Barnoti, April 08:- Congress today held a massive protest dharna  at Barnoti -Jasrota in Kathua district against the anti-people and anti-democratic policies of the BJP government at the centre and LG administration besides seeking restoration of statehood and holding early assembly elections.

Organised by   Senior Congress  Leader Th Balbir Singh Ex -MLA , the dharna was also addressed by Senior Congress Leader  Th Balwan Singh besides Ex-Chairman Municipal Council Kathua Naresh Sharma and other prominent leaders of the area.

Addressing the gathering Th Balbir Singh lashed out at BJP government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi of working on a vindictive agenda against Gandhi family and Congress party and entire opposition in particular. Gandhi’s family and Congress party have a history of sacrifices for the nation, but Modi government and BJP are carrying an agenda to malign the image of Congress leadership by false propaganda.

He said that UT adm is passing anti-people, anti-youth orders whereby the local people have lost jobs in the private sector while there are no jobs in the government sector and whatsoever vacancies are there, have not been filled. The highly educated unemployed youth are frustrated and facing a situation of joblessness while the common man is suffering due to unprecedented price rise of all commodities of common use.

Thakur Balbir Singh asked people to teach BJP a lesson in elections as BJP has betrayed the people of Jammu region of all fronts after getting huge mandate.

Senior Congress leader Thakur Balwan Singh in his address hit out at Modi government of working on a agenda of suppressing the voice of opposition by all arm twisting methods and lot of energy and machinery is engaged in this task.

He said Congress is the only alternative to BJP in the UT and at the centte to bring the nation back on the rails in every sphere especially on the path if peace, harmony and overall progress.
