Baloch National Movement Condemns Pakistan’s ‘Reign of Terror’ in Balochistan at Bonn Rally
Baloch National Movement urges international community to hold Islamabad accountable for enforced disappearances and state oppression.
Balochistan, Oct 12 : The Baloch National Movement (BNM) staged a strong protest in Bonn, Germany, condemning Pakistan’s ongoing human rights violations, enforced disappearances, and systemic brutality in Balochistan. The demonstration aimed to highlight the plight of victims and call on the global community to intervene against what organizers described as Pakistan’s campaign of oppression in the province.
BNM activists, carrying banners and placards, demanded international scrutiny and justice for thousands of missing persons in Balochistan. They called upon the United Nations, European Union, and major democratic nations to pressure Pakistan to end its violent crackdown on the Baloch people.
Speakers at the protest highlighted that, despite Balochistan’s natural wealth and strategic importance, its communities continue to face exploitation under Pakistan’s military and political control. The activists accused global powers of turning a blind eye, alleging that many countries prioritize their geopolitical and economic interests over human rights.
“Enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings are routine in Balochistan, with victims often tortured or mutilated. Entire communities live in fear as security operations destroy villages and uproot families,” said a BNM representative. They stressed that these violations devastate the social fabric of Baloch society, leaving families traumatized and voiceless.
The protest in Bonn was led by BNM Germany’s General Secretary Jabbar Baloch, along with Habib Baloch and other activists, who pledged to continue advocating for justice and self-determination for the Baloch people on international platforms.
