Bangladesh MBBS Admission Scam: Lakhs Swindled, Four Accused Charge-Sheeted by EOW Kashmir
Investigation reveals lakhs swindled in fraudulent medical admission scheme; case now before Srinagar court.
Srinagar: The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) Kashmir has filed a chargesheet against four individuals in connection with a Bangladesh MBBS admission scam, in which lakhs of rupees were fraudulently collected from a student’s family.
According to the chargesheet filed under Sections 420 and 120-B of the IPC in FIR No. 20/2025, the complainant was introduced to the accused, including proprietors of M/s Europe Consultancy Centre and Overseas Consultancy, who promised to secure admission for the complainant’s son in a medical college in Bangladesh.
Despite receiving substantial payments, the accused deposited only USD 8,000 (approximately ₹6.04 lakh) with Park View Medical College. The shortfall led to the student being asked to leave the institution, triggering the complaint.
Bank records, official correspondence from the college, and statements collected during the investigation substantiated the allegations against the accused: Peerzada Aabid, Syed Wasim, Syed Suhail Aijaz, and Zaigam Khan.
The investigation has concluded with sufficient evidence, and the chargesheet has been submitted to the Hon’ble Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Srinagar, for judicial proceedings.
