Baramulla grenade attack cowardly act, culprits couldn’t escape law: Kavinder

Home Minister committed for zero tolerance policy against terrorism: Kavinder

JAMMU, May 18: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta condemned the atrocious grenade attack on a wine shop in Baramulla killing a worker and injuring three others.
In a statement issued to media, BJP stalwart leader termed yesterday’s attack as ‘cowardly act’ and asserted that terrorists behind this ghastly action cannot escape law as soon they will be caught and tried for the heinous crime.
“The terror outfit called Jammu & Kashmir Freedom Fighters attacked a liquor store in Baramulla. A person named Ranjit Singh, hailing from Rajouri was killed. Three others were injured”, Kavinder said, adding that terrorists targeting minorities is intolerable and soon the perpetrators of this terror act will have to face the law as security forces are already on job to track them down.
Kavinder said that the situation in Valley is grim especially with regard to the upcoming Shri Amarnathji Yatra which is commencing from June 30 and the booming tourist season in Valley. He said that the security forces are doing a commendable job in fighting insurgency and sooner than later those behind this horrendous attack will also be either neutralised or put behind bars as was the case of many similar attacks in the past. He said that BJP government led by PM Narendra Modi and HM Amit Shah is resolute in ending terrorism and no power can stop this from becoming a reality.
Citing HM Amit Shah’s standing instructions during  the security review meeting, Kavinder said that directions have been given to all the stakeholders to tighten the grip against the terror mongers as government tread on zero tolerance policy against terrorism. He said that the government is taking adequate steps to step-up the security grid but the people should also extend cooperation in ensuring the high level of security by installing the CCTV cameras and informing the security forces about any suspicious activity or person being noticed in and around their localities and at the public places.
