Basketball concluded, volleyball, badminton and cricket keeps lawyers on field for the fifth consecutive day of the Annual Sports Meet
Jammu, 01-04-2026: The fifth day of the Jammu & Kashmir High Court Bar Association Jammu Annual Sports Meet – 2026 saw great enthusiasm among the members of the bar.
On the fifth day of the meet, MLA Thanamandi, Muzaffar Iqbal Khan, who is also a senior member of the bar, visited the cricket field and while greeting and interacting with the players, shared his experiences of the game and also appreciated the efforts of the Bar Association.
The day saw the advocates playing across different fields and courts, including cricket, volleyball (women), basketball, and badminton. In basketball, Team Slam Dunks defeated Team Titans to clinch the top spot. In women’s volleyball, Lady Feathers defeated Lady Litigators to win the gold medal. In badminton (women), Antra totally dominated the game by winning both in singles and with her partner, Pooja, in doubles. In cricket, the league stages concluded, and the tournament got the teams that will compete in the next Super 8 stage. The finals of the badminton (men) will be played tomorrow at the MA Stadium, Jammu.
Basketball and volleyball tournaments were inaugurated by K. Nirmal Kotwal, president of the association, along with Vice President Baldev Singh, General Secretary Pardeep Majotra, Joint Secretary Anshu Mahajan, and Treasurer Rahul Aggarwal. Both sports saw a huge engagement of both men and women advocates, who tirelessly played the matches and showcased the spirit of sportsmanship.
The office bearers expressed their gratitude to all the members who have consistently supported the bar in this annual meeting.
