JAMMU, 18-07-2026: A delegation of the Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA), led by its President, Sh. Tarun Singla, met Shri Anuj Kumar, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, Samba, at his office. Sh. Viraaj Malhotra, Senior Vice President, BBIA, was also present during the meeting.
During the interaction, Sh. Tarun Singla highlighted several pressing issues affecting the Bari Brahmana Industrial Complex and sought the immediate intervention of the district police administration for their timely resolution.
The major issues discussed included the deployment of additional police personnel in the industrial complex, effective measures to curb the drug menace in and around the SIDCO Industrial Complex, Bari Brahmana, and frequent traffic congestion caused by the improper parking of vehicles within the industrial area and near SIDCO Chowk.
The delegation emphasised that strengthened police patrolling, better traffic management and strict action against drug-related activities are essential for ensuring a safe and secure working environment for industrial units, employees and visitors.
Shri Anuj Kumar, IPS, SSP Samba, gave a patient hearing to the issues raised by the BBIA delegation and assured that all possible steps would be taken to address them on priority.
He also advised industrial unit holders to install CCTV cameras within and around their premises as an additional security measure, which would assist in identifying miscreants and investigating any untoward incident in the industrial complex.
BBIA expressed its appreciation to the SSP Samba for his positive response and assurance of continued cooperation with the industrial community.
