Bharat Parv to Be Held from Nov 1–15 to Celebrate Sardar Patel’s 150th Birth Anniversary: Amit Shah
Home Minister announces annual parade at Ekta Nagar, says Patel’s legacy forms the foundation of India’s unity
Patna, Oct 30: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday announced that ‘Bharat Parv 2025’ will be celebrated from November 1 to 15 across the country to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Speaking at a press conference in Patna, Shah said the celebration will highlight Patel’s unmatched role in unifying India and strengthening its democratic foundation. He also declared that a grand annual parade will be organised every October 31 at Ekta Nagar, Gujarat, starting this year, to honour the Iron Man of India.
“Along with Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Patel formed the backbone of India’s freedom struggle. His contribution in building the nation’s foundation is immense. Yet, Congress left no stone unturned in trying to make the country forget his legacy by not constructing any statue or memorial in his name,” Shah said.
He contrasted this with the NDA government’s efforts, noting that it was under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership that the ‘Statue of Unity’ the world’s tallest statue was built as a fitting tribute to Sardar Patel’s vision of a united India.
The Union Home Minister said that Bharat Parv 2025 will include a series of cultural, historical, and patriotic events celebrating India’s unity, diversity, and the monumental contribution of Sardar Patel.
