12-08-2023 : Bhupendra Kumar, Secretary Health and Medical Education Department, Jammu, Deputy Mayor Baldev Singh Billawaria and Dr Rajeev Kumar, Director Health Jammu, visited Gangyal Hospital and inaugurated a medical camp. During their visit, they observed the shortage of doctors in the hospital and the difficulties faced by the patients. The shortage of doctors was a major concern highlighted during the tour. Furthermore, the officials also took note of the problems faced by the patients in the hospital. Addressing the media, Deputy Mayor Baldev Singh Billawaria stated that the purpose of their visit was to assess the situation at Gangyal Hospital and find possible solutions to improve healthcare services. Deputy Mayor Jammu Baldev Singh Billawaria briefed the media and said that a dialysis facility will also be provided for kidney patients in Gangyal Hospital very shortly. He also said that now Eyes checkup OPD will be held twice a week in the hospital, OPD will be held two days a week for health check-ups of children. Along with this, an upgraded machine for physiotherapy will also be given to the Gangyal Hospital. Deputy Mayor Billawaria assured the public that steps would be taken to enhance the infrastructure and facilities at Gangyal Hospital to provide better medical care. He emphasized the importance of ensuring the comfort and well-being of the patients. The medical camp inaugurated during the visit aimed to provide immediate medical assistance to the patients in need. Deputy Mayor Billawaria expressed his gratitude towards the medical staff for their dedication and efforts in organizing the camp.
Deputy Mayor Jammu, Billawaria reaffirmed his commitment to facilitating the recruitment of additional medical personnel to bolster healthcare provisions.
Deputy Mayor Jammu further told that the Secretary of Health and Medical Education Department has assured him to solve all the problems while soon the shortage of doctors will also be filled here.
