Jammu, 01 August 2025: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) General Secretary (Organization), J&K, Ashok Koul chaired an organizational meeting of BJP District Akhnoor, led by District President Kuldeep Raj Sharma.
MLA Mohan Lal Bhagat, DDC Vice-Chairman Suraj Singh, former MLA Rajeev Sharma, senior leaders Bushan Bral, Shardha Bhau, Sushma Sharma, Nisha Bhagat, Shakti Bhagat, Depash Singh, Jugal Dogra, Inderjeet, Gourav Singh, Neeraj Shastri, Shamsher Dass, Bodh Raj, Ashok Kumar, and Geeta Rajput, besides District team, Mandal Presidents, General Secretaries, and dedicated activists from across the district were present in the meeting.
Ashok Koul conducted a focused review of the programmes executed under the party’s nationwide campaign ‘Viksit Bharat Ka Amritkaal – Sewa, Sushasan, Gareeb Kalyan Ke 11 Saal’. He highlighted the importance of grassroots initiatives such as Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabhas, Choupals, Professional Meets, Ayushman Bharat Card Camps, exhibitions, and the tree plantation campaign ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’. He emphasized that these activities are not just symbolic but reflect BJP’s deep commitment to inclusive governance and sustainable development.
He urged party workers to ensure that outreach efforts reflect the concerns and aspirations of all sections of society, especially the marginalized. “Our strength lies in our capacity to engage with the people, understand their local issues, and offer solutions rooted in service and accountability,” Koul stated and stressed on observing key occasions with public participation and urged all units to make environmental conservation, wellness campaigns, and historical commemorations a regular part of their agenda.
Mohan Lal Bhagat spoke about the collaborative work between public representatives and the organization, noting that this partnership is critical in ensuring the successful implementation of public welfare schemes.
Suraj Singh appreciated the energy and devotion of BJP’s grassroots workers. He called for sharper booth-level strategies and greater local participation to fortify the party’s foundation in every ward and village.
Rajeev Sharma said that BJP’s growing public trust is a result of its consistent and issue-based approach. “We don’t just promise change, we work for it. The party’s credibility comes from its worker-first ethos and people-oriented planning,” he said.
In his presidential address, District President Kuldeep Raj Sharma expressed gratitude to the party leadership and reaffirmed the unit’s readiness to take forward all organizational programmes with renewed vigour. He said that the Akhnoor district team is fully committed to strengthening the party’s presence and connection at the booth level, guided by the principles of service, transparency, and teamwork.
