BJP Jammu South District Mahila Morcha Holds Introductory-cum-Monthly Meeting
Jammu, 03 February 2026: The Bharatiya Janata Party Jammu South District Mahila Morcha under the headship of Smt Meetu Sharma today organised an Introductory-cum-Monthly Meeting along with a Felicitation Programme Party Headquarter, Trikuta Nagar aimed at further strengthening the organisational framework and enhancing coordination at the district level.
The meeting was chaired by BJP J&K UT Mahila Morcha President Advocate Neha Mahajan. The programme witnessed the presence of District President BJP Jammu South Sh Naresh Singh Jasrotia, and Er.Urvashi Gupta, General Secretary BJP Mahila Morcha J&K UT and Parliamentary Constituency Incharge.
The meeting was organised under the leadership of Jammu South District Mahila Morcha President Meetu Sharma.
During the programme, the newly appointed District Incharge Smt Sonia Thakur and Co-Incharge Gurmeet Kour formally felicitated by the senior leadership, recognising their responsibilities and organisational commitment.
Addressing the gathering, Advocate Neha Mahajan highlighted the decisive role of Mahila Morcha in booth-level mobilisation and organisational expansion. She exhorted the members to ensure effective last-mile delivery of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s women-centric welfare schemes and to strengthen the party’s connect with Matrashakti. She stressed the importance of women empowerment through political participation, awareness and leadership, and called upon Mahila Morcha members to work with dedication and resolve. She highlighted the need for organisational discipline and coordinated efforts, motivating the Mahila Morcha team to work in close synergy with the district leadership.
District President BJP Jammu South Sh Naresh Singh Jasrotia emphasised organisational unity, discipline and collective responsibility, underlining the vital role of Mahila Morcha in fortifying the party’s grassroots structure. He appreciated the dedication and enthusiasm of Mahila Morcha workers and encouraged them to continue their sustained grassroots outreach for social welfare and holistic development.
Urvashi Gupta briefed the gathering on organisational responsibilities and upcoming programmes, emphasising teamwork and structured planning.
Sonia Thakur, Secretary BJP Mahila Morcha and District Incharge, expressed gratitude to the party leadership for reposing faith in her and assured wholehearted dedication towards strengthening the organisation.
All Mandal Presidents of Jammu District Mahila Morcha, senior party leaders and a large number of members were present.
The proceedings and vote of thanks were conducted by Sandhya Gupta and Susheela Sharma respectively.
