BLA Claims Responsibility for Attacks on Pakistani Security and Intelligence Personnel
Militant outfit says operations targeted army, intelligence operatives, and infrastructure
The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for a string of coordinated attacks across several districts of Balochistan, including Zamuran, Kalat, Kharan, Quetta, and Dhadar.
In a statement released by its spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch, the group said its fighters carried out seven operations targeting Pakistani military personnel, paramilitary forces, and alleged intelligence operatives. The outfit also claimed to have destroyed a gas pipeline in Dhadar.
According to the statement, a BLA sniper killed a soldier at a military camp in Zamuran’s Tanak area, while the group also brought down a military quadcopter. In Quetta, BLA fighters detained a policeman near Sheikh Zayed Hospital during a highway blockade, seized his weapon, and later released him. On the same night, the group said it blew up a gas pipeline at Kambari Pul in Dhadar.
In Kharan’s Barshonki area, the BLA claimed to have attacked the hideout of a so-called “death squad” operative, arrested two associates, seized weapons, and set the location on fire. The group further stated that it temporarily took control of a Levies post, detaining four personnel before releasing them.
Separately, the outfit claimed responsibility for a grenade attack on an army checkpoint in Mangochar, Kalat, which it said killed one soldier and injured three others. The statement accused Pakistani forces of retaliating with indiscriminate firing, allegedly injuring civilians.
The BLA also said it had captured and executed Qaiser Abbas, whom it described as an agent of Military Intelligence, in Zawa, Kalat. The group alleged he confessed before being sentenced to death by a “Baloch National Court.”
Reiterating its stance, the BLA vowed to continue operations with “greater intensity” against Pakistani forces and their collaborators.
