Bomb Threat Hoax Targets Actress Trisha Days After Vijay Incident

Tamil actress Trisha’s Teynampet home searched after a false bomb alert; police link case to rising hoax threats in Chennai.

Actress Trisha Krishnan faced a tense moment on Friday when a bomb threat was reportedly issued to her residence in Teynampet, Chennai. The alert, however, turned out to be a hoax after police conducted a thorough search.

According to officials, Tamil Nadu police teams rushed to Trisha’s house immediately after receiving the call. Sniffer dogs and bomb squad officers combed the premises, but no explosives were found. Authorities later confirmed it was a false alarm.

The incident comes amid a surge of hoax bomb threats in Tamil Nadu. In recent weeks, several prominent figures, including Chief Minister MK Stalin, actor Vijay, and former CM Edappadi Palaniswami, have been targeted. While most threats have proven fake, police are treating them with utmost seriousness and are working to trace the culprits behind the calls.

Despite the scare, Trisha remains focused on her busy film schedule. She will next be seen alongside Megastar Chiranjeevi in the highly anticipated socio-fantasy entertainer Vishwambhara, slated for a summer 2026 release. Trisha is also playing the lead opposite Suriya in Karuppu, an action drama directed by RJ Balaji and produced by Dream Warrior Pictures.

With repeated hoax threats unsettling Chennai’s high-profile residents, authorities have tightened security measures around celebrities and political leaders, even as investigations into the prank callers continue.
