‘Border 2’ Box Office Day 11: Sharp Monday Drop, Collection Surpasses ₹281 Crore

Sunny Deol–Varun Dhawan war drama mints ₹5.75 crore on Monday worldwide total reaches ₹380.75 crore

NEW DELHI, Feb 3: The Sunny Deol–Varun Dhawan starrer Border 2 saw a sharp decline in earnings on its second Monday, February 2, minting ₹5.75 crore at the Indian box office, according to Sacnilk reports. This takes the film’s domestic total to ₹281 crore, while worldwide collections stand at ₹380.75 crore.

Released on January 23, 2026, to coincide with the Republic Day holiday, the spiritual sequel to the 1997 blockbuster Border opened to ₹30 crore and earned ₹59 crore over the Republic Day weekend. After a strong first week, the film maintained double digit collections through the weekend before witnessing the Monday slump.

Day 8 [2nd Friday]: ₹10.75 crore

Day 9 [2nd Saturday]: ₹17.75 crore

Day 10 [2nd Sunday]: ₹22.5 crore

Day 11 [2nd Monday]: ₹5.75 crore

Overall Hindi occupancy on Monday was reported at 11.31%.

Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 features Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty in lead roles, portraying different battlefronts of the 1971 India-Pakistan war. Pivotal roles are played by Mona Singh, Medha Rana, Sonam Bajwa, and Anya Singh. The film is produced by Nidhi Dutta, daughter of JP Dutta, who directed the original Border.
