Britney Spears Responds to Kevin Federline’s Memoir, Denounces Personal Attacks

Pop star slams ex-husband’s upcoming book ‘You Thought You Knew,’ calling out attacks on her mental health and motives.

Britain, Oct 17 : Pop icon Britney Spears has finally broken her silence on her ex-husband Kevin Federline’s upcoming memoir, You Thought You Knew, which reportedly contains controversial comments about her mental health and their children, Sean and Jayden.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Britney shared a heartfelt message, expressing her hurt and questioning Federline’s motives. “To be loved unconditionally and with a naive heart like mine, always being threatened or made to believe I’m the bad one as they profit off my pain… Oh dear Jesus, show me there is a God and I can too be loved unconditionally,” she wrote.

She also accused Kevin of trying to profit from her name. “I 100 percent beg to differ the way he is literally attacking me in his interviews… no money from Britney for five years, you trying to get paid. That’s what America is saying,” Britney added.

Addressing their now-adult sons, Britney wondered why Kevin still harbors anger. “It’s a different world now… why is he so angry? And what’s scary is he’s convincing. The moments he stops before he cries. Are you serious?”

Despite acknowledging that Kevin’s memoir might outsell hers, she stressed that love should never come through humiliation. “If you really love someone, you don’t help them by humiliating them,” she said.

Closing her post, Britney thanked her fans for support and hinted at new projects, teasing, “I might even start my own radio podcast.” She also expressed gratitude toward celebrity blogger Perez Hilton for uplifting her spirits.

Kevin Federline’s memoir is set for release soon, but Britney Spears’ strong response signals that the former couple’s public drama is far from over.
