Career Counselling, sensitisation program held at Dhangri
Participants educated about Mission Youth Initiatives, Skill Development, women empowerment, protection against Domestic Violence
RAJOURI, FEBRUARY 23: District Administration Rajouri today organised an awareness program for students here at MIE, School, Dhangri. The programme was organised on the direction and overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Vikas Kundal to invite the attention of students towards various employment avenues and entrepreneurship schemes.
The students were informed regarding the initiatives of the Government and motivated to combat failures courageously and keep going & achieve bigger things in life.
The Program was attended by Bilal Rashid Mir (DSEO Rajouri); Principal Mabood, MIE Dhangri; Dr. Anum Mirza (Women Welfare Officer, Rajouri); Nazma Sheikh, District Coordinator, DLCW, staff members of school.
At the outset, the DSEO Rajouri highlighted the achievements of district Administration in respect of implementation of Mission youth initiatives like Mumkin, Tejaswani, PARWAAZ etc. He said focus is also being laid on Skill development of youth and providing them avenues to establish their own business units, so that youth may become self dependent.
Sonam Mahajan- the Keynote Speaker, delivered the motivational Talk. Sonam Mahajan, is daughter of the soil, a renowned analyst and thinker who is deeply invested in women rights and social reforms. She delivered an inspiring and motivational lecture and advised the students to never feel defeated in their life. “The tendency when we fail is that we become easily frustrated and then surrender. Successful leaders did not make it to the top seamlessly and without mistakes along the way. As the old saying goes, Quitters never win and winners never quit,” she said.
She further advised the students to ‘Optimize your goals and never settle for less. While it is a golden rule to keep your goals achievable you should not limit what you might achieve.’
She informed the gathering regarding various initiatives of Government and scope to move to Multinational Companies for better opportunities. She sensitized the girl students to opt for Defence and Air force Services as they can choose the career in multi dimensional areas. She elaborated on the Prime Minister’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative which translates to ‘self-reliant India’.
Dr Anum Mirza (Women Welfare Officer, DLCW, while elaborating the initiatives of Govt. for women empowerment, she sensitized students regarding their constitutional rights and powers. While laying stress on women empowerment, she asked the gathering ‘to respect the women always, so that Girl child can fly free to live her life.’
