CBI arrests then Commandant of BSF in an on-going investigation of a case

17-11-2020:The Central Bureau of Investigation has today arrested then Commandant, BSF in an on-going investigation of a case. He will be produced before the Designated Court tomorrow.

A case was registered on 21.09.2020 against the then Commandant, 36 Battalion, Border Security Force (BSF), three private persons, and unknown public servants & private persons on the allegations of illegal trade of cattle along the West Bengal/Bangladesh border by the accused in connivance with public servants. Searches were earlier conducted at the premises of the accused.

Investigation is continuing.
