CCI Leaders Mourn Pilgrims Killed in Reasi Terror Attack, Call for Enhanced Security and International Efforts to Combat Terrorism

Jammu, 10-06-2024: In a meeting of Office Bearers of Chamber of Commerce & Industry held today at Chamber House Sh. Arun Gupta, President CCI strongly condemned the cowardice terrorism act of firing by terrorists on a pilgrims bus returning from the holy cave of Shiv Khori in which ten persons including the Driver and Conductor of the bus lost their lives besides 43 persons were injured.

A two minutes silence was observed to pay homage to the departed soul. Meeting also prayed for speedy recovery of the injured persons and also expressed sympathies with the bereaved families in this hour of grief

While speaking on the occasion Sh. Arun Gupta said that previously these militants have attacked the security forces and general public time and again at Rajouri, Kalakot and surankot etc. he said that it is very strange that despite the strict vigil and alertness of our security forces the militants involved in the above incidents are still at large.

Sh. Arun Gupta demanded that the terrorists and their overground workers as well as supports be eliminated. He also requested the International Community to raise their voice against the terrorism of all kinds and urged World Community to sensor Pakistan who openly supports and promotes terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.

Sh. Arun Gupta said that fundamentalists of all hues are worried with the peace, tranquility and brotherhood between different communities and want to destabilize the brotherhood. He also added that Chamber firmly believes that people of Jammu and Kashmir shall not get trapped in their nefarious designs and will firmly uphold the credentials of secularism.

Sh. Arun Gupta requested the LG Administration that keeping in view the Amarnath Yatra, Budha Amarnath Yatra and Machail Yatra  the security and other agencies should be strengthened to avoid any such type of incidents during the upcoming yatra.
