Centre to Host National e-Vidhan (NeVA) Conference on Thursday

Over 100 officials to review progress, share best practices, and discuss AI-driven innovations under Digital India

New Delhi, Oct 29: The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs will host the 3rd National Conference on the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) on October 30, 2025, in New Delhi, marking a major step toward achieving paperless governance in India’s legislative institutions.
According to an official release, the conference aims to accelerate the digital transformation of State Legislatures through NeVA  a Mission Mode Project under the Digital India Programme. The initiative envisions integrating 37 Legislative Houses across the country onto a single, unified digital platform to promote transparency, efficiency, and citizen participation.
The event will see participation from over 100 officials, including Secretaries of Legislative Houses and Nodal Departments from various State Governments. The discussions will focus on:

Reviewing the current status of NeVA implementation,

Sharing best practices from fully digitized Houses,

Exploring the role of Artificial Intelligence in streamlining legislative operations, and

Addressing technical and operational challenges to accelerate the onboarding of remaining legislatures.

Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju and Minister of State L. Murugan will attend and address the conference.
Officials said the 3rd NeVA Conference will play a key role in strengthening digital governance and aligns with India’s broader vision of Digital India and Good Governance, setting a benchmark for transparent and technology-driven legislative functioning across the country.
