Chargesheet Filed Against Godman Over Student Harassment Allegations
1,077 Page Chargesheet Names Chaitanyanand Saraswati and Four Others After Detailed Probe
New DElhi, Nov 27 : The Delhi Police have filed a chargesheet in court against self styled godman Chaitanyanand Saraswati and four others in connection with allegations of sexual harassment of students.
According to police sources, the comprehensive 1,077 page chargesheet was submitted before a Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) on Wednesday, marking the completion of the first phase of the investigation.
The probe includes statements from 43 witnesses, along with digital evidence and on-site inspections conducted by the police. Chaitanyanand Saraswati has been booked under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
His co-accused Bhawna Kapil, Shweta, and Kajal Kapil have been charged under separate provisions of the BNS. Another accused, Harish Singh Kapkoti, also faces multiple charges linked to the case.
Police sources said the chargesheet is backed by a combination of witness testimonies, digital records, and physical verification of locations relevant to the complaint
