Chief Secretary J&K directs Adm Secretaries to ensure prompt response to DO Letters/fix GB meeting

Jammu, September 24: In a high-level meeting of Commissioner/Secretary, CS, Dr. Arun Mehta by continuing his process of issuing direction/instructions in the interest of Govt the public directed all Administrative Secretary to ensure prompt response to DO Letters/ important communications from Govt Of  India.

By reviewing it was observed that the list of such DO’s available with the Chief Secretary’s office will be shared with concerned departments.

In the said meeting it was observed that Chief Secretary is the Chairperson of a number of Governing Bodies of Autonomous bodies/Corporations/PSUs etc etc.

In this regard, Administrative Secretary are expected to ensure that meetings of these bodies are held at intervals, as mandated in the relevant bye laws/MOA’s.

He further said that any default on this account will be the responsibility of the concerned Administrative Secretary.
