CM Omar Abdullah Chairs Cabinet Meeting in Jammu, Reviews Key Governance Decisions

Ministers discuss administrative efficiency and development initiatives across the Union Territory

Jammu: Omar Abdullah chaired a meeting of the Jammu and Kashmir Cabinet in Jammu on Friday to deliberate on key governance matters and development priorities in the Union Territory.

According to officials, the discussions focused on strengthening administrative functioning and improving delivery of public services. The Chief Minister’s Office said the decisions taken during the meeting aim to enhance efficiency in governance and accelerate development initiatives.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary along with ministers Sakina Itoo, Javed Ahmed Rana, Javid Ahmed Dar and Satish Sharma.

Atal Dulloo was also present during the deliberations.

Later in the day, the Chief Minister chaired a separate review meeting to assess the progress of projects being implemented under the SASCI scheme. During the session, he emphasised the importance of completing projects within the stipulated timeframe and ensuring proper monitoring of works.

Abdullah directed officials to maintain transparency in execution and ensure that the benefits of the scheme reach people effectively while preventing any lapse of allocated funds.
