Commemorating Baba Saheb’s Birth Anniversary: A Day of Remembrance and Service to Humanity

14-04-2023: Birth Anniversary of Bharat Rattan Baba Saheb Dr. B R Ambedkar was celebrated by Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Bahu Fort Jammu in the premises of Gurudwara Shri Guru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj Bahu Fort Jammu. While speaking on this occasion Sham lal Basson said that it is a matter of pride that Jayanti of Baba Saheb is celebrated all over the world as World Knowledge Day. Dr. B R Ambedkar worked tirelessly for the welfare of women, labourers, farmers, and downtrodden people of the country. Mata Rama Bai Ambedkar wife of Dr B R Ambedkar stood like rock behind baba saheb and never compromised with the principal of Baba Saheb.

The students delivered speeches on the life and mission of Baba Saheb. Samridhi Basson, Urvashi, Umang, and Samaksh Singh spoke on this occasion. Lokinder Singh Ravi, Moti Ram Angral, and prof Chaman Lal also delivered speeches regarding the path shown by baba saheb regarding the upliftment of Bahujans. Those who paid tributes included Col Mohan Lal, Capt Ashok Kumar,Dr. Vijay Shivgotra, Mangat Ram Kalsi, and Hans Raj. Charan Dass Shivgotra, Kamal Kalsotra, Ram Lal, Suresh Kumar(Rinku) Rajesh Kumar. In the meantimeJyanti was also celebrated at Rehan Basera Gorkh Nagar Jammu. Team Sahara headed by Sh Rakesh Gupta along with Shallm lal Basson and Madam Veena Bakshi had arranged eatables and drinks for inmates of Rehan Basera. Madam Sandhya Gupta, Sanjeev Vaid, S Balvinder Singh S Lokinder Singh, Capt Ashok Kumar Madam Veena Bakshi and others paid tributes to Baba Saheb and celebrated Basakhi with inmates of Rehan Basera.
