Confederation SC ST OBCs held Sammellan at Akhnoor & Kalsotra urge for strong SC ST OBCs
10-08-2021 : Akhnoor-Jammu 10.08.2021:Today a grand Sammellan of SC ST OBCs was held at Sungai More Akhnoor by All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organisations unit Akhnoor wherein State President Confederation, RK Kalsotra participated as Chief Guest along with Jagdish Chopra and Shashi Syal, Surjit Singh as the Guests of Honour. Various members participated in the meeting and deliberated deeply upon the problems being faced by the community like a pending backlog of 1.04 lakh, reservation in promotions, lack of scholarships, non-implementation of Mandal commission report among others.
Kalsotra listened to the grievances of members patiently. He discussed the concerns of communities and said that after the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A atrocities against lower castes of society in UT JK have increased. He said that if the SC ST OBC community really wants their constitutional rights fully implemented then they should support the cause of confederation by going from village to village, start comparing in the area for creating unity for Save Constitution- Save Rights. He said we are struggling on every front for the rights of the society and expecting support for a mass agitation.
He also condemned the rape of a 9-year-old Delhi girl which shows how the state has failed to protect its citizens especially the lower castes.
Chopra and Syal also appealed to the masses and said that Confederation is struggling and raising its voice for the rights and if people of the community support certainly the confederation will get back our rights.
On the demand, local unit of Confederation was reorganized and members of the confederation unanimously elected Akhnoor body for further functioning as Chuni Lal Mangotra-President, Ramesh Chander Samotra, Subash Chander, Yash Paul Mangotra, Sandeep Kumar Bhagat- All Vice Presidents, Mohan Lal Khaira- Gen.Secretary, Deepak Kumar Bhagat-Secretary, Talib Hussain- Jt.Secretary, Akshay Kumar- Add.Secretary, Neeraj Kumar Bhagat-Organising Secretary,Bachan Lal Bhagat – Treasurer & Executive body members:- Des Raj, Adv.Pardeep Kumar, Rashpal Chand, Raman Kumar, Pappu Ram, Mohinder Kumar etc. Shri Kalsotra and other participants welcomed the newly elected confederation team by garlanding them. The newly-elected team Members also assured the confederation to do hard work for the rights of our community and do work equally day & night.
